Soft matte box for Panasonic's LA-7200 anamorphic adapter

Rugged lens flare protection for your camera and lens
The Matteblox Anamorphic (pronounced "Matte Blocks Anna More Fik") is designed to reduce lens flare for Panasonic's LA-7200 Anamorphic Adapter for the DVX100 by integrating a matte fabric lined lens hood with an adjustable/removable french flag. The Matteblox Anamorphic holds on to the Anamorphic Adapter with 2 large rubber feet on the top and bottom and held tight with a tensioning strap that is secured with velcro. For a more secure grip we recommend applying some self-adhesive velcro hooks to the left and right sides of the Anamorphic Adapter.

The Matteblox Anamorphic has a rectangular opening which is can fit on lens hoods that are 3.75-4.25×4.5-5.5" (95-110×115-140mm). The sony cameras HDR-FX1 and HVR-Z1U and Canon XH-A1 are also compatible with the Matteblox Anamorphic. For best results with these cameras, you will need to stick velcro hooks on the left and right sides of the lens shade. For the Matteblox Anamorphic (mounted on the factory shade) with a 4×4" or 100×100mm Filter Holder, vignetting disappears at Z28. With a Panavision Filter Holder there is no vignetting. If you are planning on using 4×4" or 100×100mm filters then we recommend the our standard Matteblox.

Filtering the World
In addition to the usual light stopping shadiness of the Matteblox Anamorphic, we have the option of adding a filter holder which allows the use of Panavision or 4×5.65" anamorphic filters or the 100mm or 4" square filters and gels.

Shadyman: Man of ballistic nylon
The anamorphic DV matte box and lens shade is made from a durable 1680D ballistic nylon with rubber grips that hold firmly on to, but will not scratch your anamorphic adapter. The french flag is also made from durable 1680D ballistic nylon. Both are lined with a matte fabric to reduce glare.

Wrapped in a neat package
The Matteblox folds flat and can be stored in the handy carrying case which can hang from anything using the included carabiner. There is plenty of space in the case for all the Matteblox Anamorphic accessories.
